It all begins with an opportunity to introduce a technology system that more efficient, low emission and able to create greater value for Indonesia’s spice farmers. On April 14 2026, SInar Hijau Ventures (SHV) officially signed a Partnership Agreement as a beneficiary of the Low Carbon Development Initiative – Innovation and Technology Fund (LCDI-ITF), facilitated by Badan Pengelola Dana Lingkungan Hidup (BPDLH) under the coordination of Kementerian PPN/Bappenas.
Out of 283 participants across Indonesia, SHV was selected to move forward into the implementation stage. SIRKULA (Sustainable Spice Technology Innovation System) was developed as a response to long standing challenges faced by smallholders farmers.
In many areas of West Seram Regency, Maluku, the post harvest process still depends on weather conditions. The drying is inconsistent. Distilation relies on firewood. Production waste goes largely unused. And farmers often sell without price certainty.
As a technology service hub, SIRKULA is designed to integrate key processes across the spice value chain. Harvested crops no longer stop at basic processing. Post harvest is supported by more stable technologies, resulting in more consistent product quality. Production waste that previously discarded transformed into value added products. And the outputs are no longer limited to local markets but connected directly to broader market access.
Everything runs within one integrated system, with technology at the core.
Distillation uses hybrid energy to make the process more efficient. Drying is done with climate-adaptive solar dryers. Every product comes with a traceability system, so its origin and quality are clear and easy to track. This opens up opportunities for spice products to enter premium markets with more consistent standards.
But SIRKULA isn’t just about technology. It’s also about building a stronger ecosystem.
Farmers are no longer working on their own. They become part of a more structured partnership. Farmer groups are strengthened, both in capacity and position, while women take on more active roles across the value chain.
The system grows with the community. This year marks the start of the implementation phase, with a clear focus improving farmers’ economic value while running production in a more low-emission way.
The collaboration between Sinar Hijau Ventures, Badan Pengelola Dana Lingkungan Hidup, and Kementerian PPN/Bappenas creates a strong foundation to move this initiative forward with clear direction.

Dorong Implementasi SIRKULA sebagai Technology Service Hub, Sinar Hijau Ventures Teken Kerja Sama LCDI-ITF
Semua dimulai dari peluang. Peluang untuk menghadirkan sistem teknologi yang lebih efisien, rendah emisi, dan memberikan nilai lebih bagi petani rempah di Indonesia. Pada 14 April 2026, Sinar Hijau Ventures,SHV, secara resmi menandatangani Perjanjian Kerja Sama sebagai penerima manfaat program Low Carbon Development Initiative – Innovation and Technology Fund (LCDI-ITF), yang difasilitasi oleh Badan Pengelola Dana Lingkungan Hidup (BPDLH) di bawah koordinasi Kementerian PPN/Bappenas.
Dari 283 lembaga yang berpartisipasi dari seluruh Indonesia, SHV terpilih untuk melanjutkan ke tahap implementasi. SIRKULA, Sistem Inovasi Teknologi Rempah Berkelanjutan dikembangkan sebagai jawaban atas tantangan yang selama ini dihadapi petani.
Di banyak wilayah pada Seram Bagian Barat, Maluku, proses pascapanen masih bergantung pada cuaca. Pengeringan tidak konsisten. Penyulingan masih menggunakan kayu bakar. Limbah produksi tidak dimanfaatkan. Petani menjual tanpa kepastian harga.
Sebagai technology service hub, SIRKULA dirancang untuk mengintegrasikan proses utama dalam rantai nilai rempah. Hasil panen tidak lagi berhenti di proses dasar. Pascapanen ditangani dengan teknologi yang lebih stabil, sehingga kualitas produk lebih konsisten. Limbah yang sebelumnya terbuang diproses kembali menjadi produk bernilai tambah. Produk yang dihasilkan tidak berhenti di tingkat lokal, tetapi terhubung langsung dengan akses pasar yang lebih luas.
Semua berjalan dalam satu sistem. Teknologi menjadi penggerak utama dari sistem ini.
Proses distilasi menggunakan energi hibrida untuk meningkatkan efisiensi. Pengeringan dilakukan dengan solar dryer yang menyesuaikan kondisi iklim. Setiap produk dilengkapi dengan sistem traceability, sehingga asal-usul dan kualitas dapat ditelusuri dengan jelas. Pendekatan ini membuka jalan bagi produk rempah untuk masuk ke pasar premium dengan standar yang lebih terjaga.
Namun SIRKULA tidak hanya berbicara tentang teknologi. Di dalamnya, ada upaya memperkuat ekosistem.
Petani tidak lagi berjalan sendiri. Mereka menjadi bagian dari kemitraan yang lebih terstruktur. Kelompok tani diperkuat dari sisi kapasitas dan posisi. Perempuan mengambil peran yang lebih aktif dalam setiap tahap rantai nilai.
Sistem ini tumbuh bersama komunitas. Tahun ini menjadi awal dari fase implementasi, dengan fokus yang jelas, nilai ekonomi di tingkat petani meningkat serta proses produksi berjalan dengan emisi yang lebih rendah.
Kolaborasi antara SHV, BPDLH, dan Kementerian PPN/Bappenas. menjadi fondasi yang memastikan inisiatif ini berjalan dengan arah yang jelas.
SIRKULA membawa sistem yang terintegrasi, lebih efisien, dan siap menjawab kebutuhan pasar ke depan dan berkelanjutan.
